Well, it is finally that time of year again. The time for all the frights, amusements, parties, and indeed vandalism that comes at a higher dosage on the last day of October.

I enjoy the deranged parties, the huge proportions of candy distributed, and even hearing my neighbor, old man Jenkins, complain about those rascally kids that engulfed his house in a sea of toilet paper. Well that last one was not true, but I would find enjoyment in it.

I have always thought of Halloween as a big party. You tell can tell how enjoyable it was by looking at the mess to clean up.

Tomorrow I expect to walk down my street and view the utter mayham unleashed on my local suburbia, but I don’t view it as bad or looked down upon. However, I feel that is good that once a year this happens. Halloween is a time where you can unleash pent up enthusiasm to let loose, be wild, and then save up for next year.

I am usually not the one to advocate senseless destruction, but it almost seems like tradition now on Halloween, and how can I not support Halloween? Halloween is essentially the black sheep of the holidays. Laughable concept, but think about it.

On Christmas, everything is bright and merry. But Halloween, all is dark and raving mad. Guys running down the street in masks, screaming like lunatics. Christmas is a time where you hang with the family, share some laughs. Halloween on the other hand, you jump out of bush to scare that lame neighbor that annoys the junk out of you, then take his candy.

However this outlook of Halloween is pointless if you believe it to be a jolly holiday with Children gaining candy from the feeble grandma down the road.

Basically, I don’t even know what I’m writing about here. I think I just wanted to convey to the reader that it is OK to push the envelope on Halloween because it is the holiday meant for it. But in no way am I persuading you to vandalize public property tonight. Just enjoy yourself.
