Students should take an active interest in creating a stable future for themselves

Most students who plan on going to college sometime after high school have already decided on a career that they would like to pursue in the future. Now they have to focus on getting the right grades and requirements all in order, so that their goals are met and college can become a realistic option.

“I think it very important to have a career plan because it helps you get started in life,” senior Lauren Henderson said. “A college education is the key to get any good job, and jobs want people who have a good education.”

Even though college is a great option to pursue a good career, some students shy away from the college option and are still able to get a decent career started.

“In reality, students all over the world need to know that choosing a career and having a career plan is very important in life,” Henderson said. “It is also important be educated and to have a say in how you live your life.”

The students at LHS should know that they have a choice to make something of themselves and there is a lot of opportunity that comes along with going to school every day and getting good grades. When you choose a career, no matter whether or not your future consists of a college degree, you also choose to make a better life for yourself and your family.
