After a cold start to district, with a record of 0-3, The Lady Pack Softball Team has caught fire, winning three straight games by an average of 4 runs while holding there opponents to a little over 1 run a game.

Head coach Heather Slaton said she is extremely excited for the girls and that she sees their hard work paying off.

“We expect to win going into every game, so I am not surprised, but very proud of the girls,” Slaton said. “They know that from week to week and game to game we have to contribute to improve. We cannot be satisfied.”

Since the Lady Panther Softball team has not won a district game in two years, Slaton is determined to keep the winning streak going if any means necessary.

“My job is to put the girls in a position to be successful. So I take away the distractions such as cell phones, etc,” Slaton said. “I explain to them our game plan and how we are in control of our own destiny.”

With hard work and dedication, The Lady Pack Softball hopes to continue dominating the 14-5A district teams. The Lady Pack Softball team will be traveling Friday to face Conroe.
