Lufkin Lady Pack entered into their second district game against Conroe Lady Tigers Tuesday night ready to play hard and redeem themselves from the lost they had gotten last Tuesday against the New Caney Eagles.
Team captain and first basemen KK Samford said she felt very confident going into the game even though the team ended up with a loss.
“I think we never really showed up. We didn’t play as the team we are, we played as semi-individuals,” Samford said. “Next game we should show up the minute we step onto the field, meaning warm up, no joking around, no playing, and get focus on the goal and work to achieve it.”
According to senior right fielder Patrice Hadnot, the team should just work harder together and stay focus on the prize.
“We just need to unclutter our minds when we step out on the field and be selective when we go up to bat and we should be successful.”
Lufkin Lady Panthers will host the College Park Cavaliers at 6 p.m. Friday and will be raffling off two Houston Lifestock Show and Rodeo tickets to see Blake Shelton.
