The Lufkin Panthers baseball team defeated College Park 6-4 Tuesday to clinch a playoff spot for the third year in a row. The Panthers also moved within one game of the district lead with the win.

With the win, the Panthers move to 17-5 and 8-2 in district play, while the loss dropped College Park to 17-3 on the season and 9-1 in district play. The Panthers will host College Park Friday night at 6 pm.
