Davis signs with Central Arkansas

Standout Lufkin Panther basketball player Ja’Darius Davis signs his letter of intent with the University of Central Arkansas and will remain in purple as a UCA Bear.
“The coach played in the league (NBA) for 15 years and we play the same position,” said Davis,a 6′ 7″, 225-pound forward who has no problem getting the basketball in the hoop whether he’s airing it from beyond the arch or slamming it home.
Over the course of his high school career, Davis had recieved offers from several large, prominent Division I colleges.
“I had offers from Oklahoma, OSU, and Texas,” Davis said, “but I think its (UCA) the best fit for me.”
Awards received:

- No. 9 Power Forward in Texas
- 1st Team All District 09-10
- 1st Team All District 08-09
